One of the advantages of Windows 7 in comparison with Windows Vista is advanced personalization features using the interface of Aero. Among them - an interesting opportunity to use RSS is to create a slide show, which will be used as the desktop background.
RSS and files
The first difficulty lies in the fact that all the RSS-feed used to create the slide shows, must be in one place. This limits the choice, but I found a way to solve the problem as mentioned below.
Another difficulty - lack of built-in interface to create threads using the slide show based on RSS. We'll have to copy and edit write protected files of Windows.
Creating a customized Windows 7 theme
Fig. 1 shows the window personalize Windows 7 Ultimate on my test system. By default, the default theme Aero.

To start, we need the theme file, which can be edited. To get it, open Windows Explorer (Windows Explorer) Folder C:\ Windows \ Resources \ Themes (Fig. 2).
